Mathias Scherer André

Mathias Scherer André has extensive work experience in the field of sales and project management, particularly in the industries of Turbomachinery, Oil & Gas, and Power Generation. Mathias began their career at Sulzer Escher Wyss AG as a Research and Development Engineer. Mathias then worked at Sulzer Turbo AG, where they held various roles in Application Engineering and Sales in the Oil & Gas sector.

In 2001, Mathias joined MAN Diesel & Turbo, where they served as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Contracts for Turbomachinery and later for the Oil & Gas division. Mathias also took on the role of Vice President for Oil & Gas Upstream, responsible for upstream operations in the Oil & Gas industry.

Since 2018, Mathias has been with MAN Energy Solutions as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Project Management Industries, with global responsibility for all Industries Sales & Project Management activities. From 2019 to 2020, they also directed the turbocharger business for marine customers.

Throughout their career, Mathias has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing teams of hundreds of people across multiple product center locations and regional sales offices worldwide. Their vast experience and expertise in sales and project management make him a valuable asset in the field.

Mathias Scherer André has a diverse education history. Mathias obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 1984 and 1990. In 2003-2004, they pursued an Executive MBA in General Management from the University of St.Gallen. Recently, they attended the Swiss Board School from 2022 to 2023, where they completed the International Board Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) program in Corporate Governance & Strategic Leadership. Additionally, Mathias obtained the International Board Certificate for the 2022-2023 academic year from the Swiss Board School.
