Mercedes F. Oromendia, Ph.D.

Mercedes F. Oromendia, Ph.D. has a long and varied work experience. In 2011, they were a Corps Member at City Year. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Graduate Researcher, Student Clinic Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, and Course Instructor at UC Santa Barbara. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Graduate Clinician and Assessment Specialist at CALM (Child Abuse Listening Mediation). During this time, they were also a Doctoral Psychology Intern at The Help Group. In 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA's TIES for Families. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Coaching & Consulting at Mercedes F. Oromendia Coaching. In 2020, they were a Member of WELL for Digital Health and a Mentor & Coach at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA)- KidsX Accelerator. Mercedes currently holds the roles of Chief Clinical Officer at Manatee and Mentor at Therapists in Tech.

Mercedes F. Oromendia, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2011. Mercedes then completed a field of study at Universidade Federal da Bahia in 2010. In 2018, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. In May of 2020, they were certified as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist by the California Board of Psychology.
