The managing director at Plinian Capital, the CEO at Lonmin Platinum, the president of base metals at BHP Billiton, and the director at Detour Gold Corporation are all previous members of Mandalay's board. Furthermore, the board has a wealth of experience in different aspects of the mining industry, with members having worked in companies such as Norilsk Nickel and Golden Star Resources Ltd. In addition to this experience, the board also boasts a variety of educational backgrounds, with members having attended institutions such as Stanford University and Western University's Ivey Business School.
