Dee Hughes is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in education and outreach within the performing arts sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Education Programs at MCC Theater since September 2016, Dee oversees the MCC Youth Company’s in-school and after-school programs. Previous roles include Education & Outreach Coordinator at MCC Theater, where Dee managed various satellite programs and partnerships with high schools across NYC. Dee's career also encompasses experience as a College Success Counselor and Program Coordinator at iMentor, focusing on supporting mentee-mentor pairs, as well as an M.A. Apprentice at the Creative Arts Team at CUNY, where Dee contributed to program development and outreach. An actor, director, and collaborative playwright with 40th St Stage Company, Dee's early career includes roles as Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Administrative Assistant at YWCA of South Hampton Roads. Dee holds a Master's Degree in Applied Theatre from the City University of New York School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Susquehanna University.
