Chris Curry is the Director of Business Management at Manhattan West where he brings over 20 years of combined experience in business management, wealth management, financial planning and deep knowledge of the entertainment industry.

Mr. Curry specializes in providing business management services to members of the entertainment industry, high-net-worth individuals, executives and businesses. He is well versed in the music, film and the television industry including contract and union administration, royalties, residuals, participations, publishing, estate planning, tax planning, insurance, investment oversight, financial planning, real estate acquisitions, touring and budgeting.

Prior to Manhattan West Mr. Curry worked at a top 50 CPA firm and a highly respected boutique business management firm. Additionally, Chris spent 9 years at Universal Music Group heading a team of attorneys and paralegals in the Business and Legal Affairs Department working on a variety of issues involving contract negotiations and disputes, oversight of royalty and contract administration, audits, union negotiations (SAG-AFTRA & AFM), and litigation including a major streaming class action lawsuit (Rick James et al. v. UMG Recordings Inc.). Highly respected in the industry, Mr. Curry served as an inaugural trustee for The SAG-AFTRA and Industry Sound Recordings Distribution Fund (www.saisrdf.org). He is a licensed attorney with the California State Bar, has held insurance and securities licenses and is regularly called upon as a speaker in various industry events and ongoing education.

Mr. Curry earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master’s in Business Taxation from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California.

Chris was born and raised in Los Angeles where he lives with his wife, two kids and two dogs. In his spare time he enjoys sports, cooking, Crossfit, cycling and reading.
