Israel Desta

Israel Desta is a Research Scientist II at Manus Bio and has a background in computational protein design and machine learning. Prior to this role, Israel worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a PhD Candidate at Boston University. Israel also has experience as a Summer Research Intern at Silicon Therapeutics and as a Research Assistant at New York University Abu Dhabi. In addition, Israel has volunteered and conducted research in various institutions such as NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering, Mount Sinai St. Luke's and Mount Sinai Roosevelt, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Israel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New York University.
