Jennifer Ellis

Jennifer Ellis has a diverse work experience in various roles in the field of people operations and development. Jennifer is currently working as the Vice President of People & Operations at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) since February 2023, and previously held the position of Head of People from June 2022 to January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a People Operations Consultant at the Flow Research Collective from March 2022 to June 2022.

Jennifer also has experience as a Chief People Officer at Magic from March 2021 to February 2022. Jennifer served as the Head of People Operations & Development at The Last Mile from October 2018 to February 2020, where they played a key role in providing in-prison software engineering training. Furthermore, they worked as a People Operations Consultant at Engaged Management from October 2018 to December 2019.

Jennifer's earlier experience includes roles such as Chief People Officer and Director of People at Hack Reactor, where they played a vital role in the full-stack development program. Jennifer has also worked at Legal Aid of Marin, where they held positions as Vice President Board of Directors and Chair of Organizational Assessment Committee, as well as a Board Officer. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Counsel, Employment Law at Goldman Law Firm, counseling and coaching employers on various human resources matters.

In addition to their professional experience, Jennifer has contributed to the field of education as a Guest Lecturer at UCSF and gained legal research experience as an Extern at the U.S. District Court, Northern District of CA, San Francisco.

Jennifer Ellis earned their Bachelor's Degree in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara in an unspecified year, and later pursued their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at Golden Gate University, School of Law from 2003 to 2006.
