Ken Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 1996, they served as the Director of Research Development for ECS/st3.com/NextLec Inc., where they managed a technical product development team and played a key role in the analysis, coding, testing, and release of streaming media solutions and web-based applications. From 2001 to 2011, Ken worked as the Director of Technology and Operations for episode49, LLC, a consultancy firm specializing in strategic planning and web design, where they provided technological solutions to various industries and directed business operations.

In 2011, Ken joined The Johnson Group as the Chief Technology Officer/Interactive Director, responsible for utilizing information technology to develop effective products and services for clients in the marketing and advertising sector. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the CTO/Executive VP of Technology for FreightWaves, a leading tech startup in the freight industry, overseeing the design, development, and architecture of major software solutions and establishing software development best practices.
