Thomas Hellman P.eng

Thomas (Tom) Hellman P.Eng has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Thomas (Tom) started their career at Amoco in 1991 as a Production/Operations/Reservoir Engineer and worked there until 1997. Thomas (Tom) then joined NSI Technologies as an Engineering Consultant from 1997 to 2000. In 2000, they joined BP as a Senior PE, where they remained until 2006.

Thomas (Tom) then joined Apache Corporation in 2006, initially serving as a Snr Advisor, Completions and Production Optimization, before becoming the Manager of Completions and Production Optimization from 2007 to 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they held the role of Director, Worldwide Completions at Apache Corporation.

In 2012, Hellman joined WPX Energy as the VP of Drilling and Completions, a position they held until 2017. From 2014 to 2015, they briefly worked as the VP of Operations at Apache Corporation.

Hellman then joined Marathon Oil Corporation in 2017, serving as the Regional Vice President, Permian (Northern Delaware) from 2017 to 2018. Thomas (Tom) later held the role of Regional Vice President, Oklahoma from 2018 to 2020, before being promoted to Vice President, Permian and Oklahoma in 2020, a position they currently hold.

Thomas (Tom) Hellman P.Eng holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta.
