Walther C.

Research Support Officer at MaREI

Walther C. is an accomplished Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at MaREI, University College Cork, involved in the ECHOES project examining the impact of climate change on bird habitats around the Irish Sea since April 2017. Prior to this role, Walther C. served as a Junior Postdoctoral Researcher, leading research on Ireland's climate status and contributing as co-lead author and co-editor of a national report. Walther C. has also worked as a Research Assistant at ITHACA from July 2011 to February 2017, where responsibilities included statistical data analysis for the Extreme Rainfall Detection System. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environment and Territory from Politecnico di Torino, along with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Hydraulic, Hydrology, and Water Resources. Educational background includes high school from Colegio Calasanz Cúcuta.
