George Akanlu

George Akanlu is a public health specialist with experience working with international and local NGOs and bilateral development agencies. He joined MSI Ghana in 2015 as the Director for Regional Operations, and was appointed as Country Director in November 2022.

Before joining MSI, George worked with Sightsavers Ghana, the Ghana National Catholic Health Services, the USAID HIV/AIDS Project, and the Navrongo Health Research Centre.

He holds a B.A (Hons) degree in Economics and Social Works from the University of Ghana, and a Master of Public Health degree in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
