Alain Cauwenberghs

Alain Cauwenberghs has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alain started their career at Europay International in 1996, where they served as the Treasurer until 2002. In 2003, they joined Mastercard and held various roles, including Group Account Director, Senior Business Leader, Head of Sales, and VP of Business Development. Alain'smost recent position at Mastercard was as the SVP of New Business Development and Enterprise Partnerships, where they worked until May 2022. Currently, they are the Chief Growth Officer at Markaaz, a position they assumed in November 2022.

Alain Cauwenberghs obtained a Master's degree in Treasury Management from IPO Management School - UFSIA Antwerpen in 1999. Prior to that, they graduated from KU Leuven in 1990 with a degree in Licentiaat in de Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen - Marketing. In 1988, they completed their Kandidaat in de Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen from Katholieke Universiteit Brussel. Alain's earlier education includes attending Jan-Van-Ruusbroeckollege from 1981 to 1986, although the specific degree obtained during this time is unknown.
