Terri Higgins

Vice President Human Resources at Marketplace Events

Terri Higgins has over 17 years of experience in various roles in event management and sales. Terri started their career at dmg world media as an Administrative Assistant and later took on the role of Sales Coordinator and Exhibit Sales Consultant. Here, they were responsible for selling exhibit space and managing customer accounts for various home and garden shows. In 2006, they joined Marketplace Events as a Show Manager, where they oversaw the sales and operational management of multiple home shows. Terri then progressed to become a Group Manager, responsible for the management of six home shows in Alberta. In 2017, Terri was promoted to HR Director and most recently became the Vice President of Human Resources at Marketplace Events. Their comprehensive experience includes sales management, fiscal management, and developing local relationships to enhance the visitor experience of the shows.

From 2000 to 2003, Terri Higgins attended Brock University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Sports Management degree with a specialization in Sport Management.
