Chris is Markon’s senior contract manager for the Washington Headquarters Services Program, with a ceiling value of $100 million. His 60-person team works in tandem with government staff to deliver design and construction projects on schedule and on cost. The mission is to support facilities planning and management to include phasing, requirements programming, space allocation, scheduling, cost estimating, quality assurance, design and construction management, and closeout activities.

Prior to joining Markon, Chris served as a U.S. Coast Guard officer for 21 years. As a Commander, he was responsible for the accelerated transformation of operations and maintenance of the Coast Guard Housing portfolio of 4,000 housing units. On another assignment at Coast Guard Headquarters, he oversaw planning, policy development, budgeting/forecasting, and execution strategies for a $21 billion Real Estate portfolio.

Chris is a licensed professional engineer and a credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP)®. He earned a Master of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

He earned a Logistics Technology certification from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. Chris is also certified as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative, Department of Homeland Security.
