Clare Towers

Clare Towers is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in compliance and regulatory matters. Currently serving as the Head of Compliance and Regulatory at Marks and Spencer since March 2022, Clare previously held various legal positions at Associated British Foods plc from March 2015 to March 2022, including Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel. Earlier in the career, Clare worked at King & Wood Mallesons and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as an Associate and Competition Associate, respectively, after completing a traineeship at Allen & Overy. Clare holds a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, completed in 2007, and attended St Helen's School in Northwood.
