Vanessa Shier

Vanessa Shier, CHRP, currently serves as Global Programs Senior Manager and Senior Manager of People Operations at Marqeta since February 2023, following the company's acquisition of Power, where Vanessa held the position of Director of People. Previously, Vanessa was Director of Talent at Clearco, leading efforts to support entrepreneurs with innovative funding solutions. With a diverse background in talent acquisition and human resources, Vanessa has held various roles including Senior Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Partner, and Coordinator of Student Affairs at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Vanessa has a Bachelor's degree in Public Health (Honours) from Brock University and a Graduate Certificate in Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion from Centennial College.
