Hung Nguyen

Hung Nguyen has a diverse work experience in various industries. Hung currently holds the position of Director of Compliance (River Division) at Marquette Transportation Company, LLC. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal at CARE2RISE Marine Technical LLC and as a Technical Advisor at Stratigos Dynamics, Inc. Hung also served as the HES&S - Vetting Manager at Marathon Petroleum Corporation and as the Chief Operating Officer at Meridian.us. Hung Nguyen has experience in overseeing operations and managing safety, security, and regulatory compliance. Hung has held leadership positions at The Response Group, Noble Drilling, and Transportation Security Administration. Hung Nguyen also has extensive experience in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they served in various roles, including Captain and Chief of the Prevention Division. Hung has led investigations and operations to enhance safety and prevent marine incidents. Hung Nguyen also played a significant role as the Coast Guard Co-chair of the Deepwater Horizon Joint Investigation Team.

Hung Nguyen has a diverse education history. From 1982 to 1986, they attended the US Coast Guard Academy and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Following this, from 1989 to 1991, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Rice University. In 1991, they furthered their education by attending Averett University, where they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in their respective field. Hung Nguyen also participated in several specialized programs. In 2008-2009, they completed the Excellence in Government Fellowship Program at the Partnership for Public Service. In 2011-2012, they took part in the Executive Leaders Program at the Naval Postgraduate School. Additionally, they attended the Leading EDGE Program at the Office of Management and Budget in 2013.
