Karen Finberg

Chief Franchise Officer at Marriott International

Karen Finberg is the Chief Franchise Officer for Marriott International. In this role, Karen will oversee Marriott's U.S. franchising efforts for more than 5,000 open Full Service and Marriott Select Brands (MSB) hotels. Karen’s team will collaborate closely with disciplines across Marriott to ensure that hotel products and services are designed to succeed within our franchise operating model, and that this model continues to provide a valuable return on investment to you, our franchise partners.

Karen most recently served as Senior Vice President, Marriott Select Brand Franchising. Prior to this role, Karen served as Area Vice President, with responsibility for the Managed by Marriott Select Brands portfolio of 230 hotels in the Eastern Region.

Prior to her work in MSB and Franchising, Karen’s career with Marriott includes considerable Full Service hotel experience. She spent 20 years in Sales and Marketing, responsible for topline performance in downtown, resort and convention hotels, culminating in a role as Regional Senior Director for the Eastern Region overseeing performance for 47 Full Service hotels. She then transitioned to Operations as Resident Manager at the JW Marriott Washington, DC. As a two-time Full Service hotel General Manager in the Washington, DC market, Karen brings extensive operations experience and a customer and owner-centric focus to her role.
