Peggy Smith Bush has a diverse education history. In 1981, they attended the University of North Alabama and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 1984. Later on, Peggy pursued a career in law and attended Barry University - Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2002.

Expanding their education further, in 2018, Peggy enrolled in Penn State University to pursue a Master of Professional Studies in the Psychology of Leadership, which they are expected to complete by 2022.

Aside from their formal education, Peggy Smith Bush has also obtained several certifications. In 2002, they were admitted to practice in all Florida state courts by the Florida Supreme Court.
