Douglas Carney

Douglas Carney has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Douglas started their career as the Director of Major Markets at p b gast & sons, inc, where they were responsible for directing sales and consultative activities for high-profile accounts. Douglas also supervised and trained sales representatives and developed promotional programs and marketing aids for the sales team.

Douglas then moved on to Western Michigan University, where they served as the Director of Facility Services, Division of Student Affairs. In this role, they developed a comprehensive 5-year facility remodeling and maintenance plan for residence halls and dining facilities. Douglas also saved the university over 2 million dollars by finding alternative solutions for remodeling expenses and managed multiple contracts between the university and contracted vendors.

Following their time at Western Michigan University, Douglas joined CSM Services as the Vice President of Operations. Here, they were responsible for managing staff to achieve monthly budgets and implementing operational objectives for over 400 employees. Douglas also provided industry-related training to management staff.

In 2014, Douglas became the Director of Facilities Management at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Their responsibilities included leading strategic and operational planning in various areas such as Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Security, Transportation, and more. Douglas ensured compliance with hospital and regulatory standards, monitored budgets, and oversaw supply and equipment maintenance.

Additionally, Douglas served as a Board Member at West Michigan Shared Hospital Laundry, contributing their expertise and insights to the organization.
