Melanie H. Green

Vice President, Richmond Higher Education Institutions at Bon Secours

Melanie H. Green has a strong background in academic administration within the nursing field. Melanie H. served as Vice President and Provost at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing from 2010 to the present, where they oversaw all aspects of the undergraduate college's operations and educational programs. Prior to that, they were the Dean of the School of Nursing at Our Lady of the Lake College from 2004 to 2010, where they managed a large faculty and staff and a variety of nursing programs at different educational levels. Melanie H. currently holds the position of Vice President of Richmond Higher Education Institutions at Bon Secours Health System, where they provide strategic and operational leadership for several academic and scholarly programs.

Melanie H. Green holds a B.S. in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1988. Melanie H. later pursued a Master of Nursing degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, completing it from 1990 to 1992. Continuing their education, they earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. In 2017, they enrolled in Georgetown University to acquire a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from the Institute of Transformational Leadership, which they completed within the same year.
