Georganne Hale has extensive work experience in the racing industry. Georganne started their career in 1984 at the Maryland Jockey Club, where they held multiple roles including Assistant Racing Secretary, Paddock Judge, Placing Judge, Patrol Judge, and Horse Identifier until 2000. Georganne then joined the Pimlico Race Track and Laurel Park as the Director of Racing and Racing Secretary in 1984. In 1985, they also took on the role of Racing Secretary at the Timonium State Fair. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Vice President of Racing Development at the Maryland Jockey Club.
Georganne Hale attended Towson University from 1977 to 1979, where they pursued a field of study in Nursing. Georganne did not obtain a degree during their time at Towson University. In 1992, Georganne Hale enrolled at the University of Arizona and completed their studies in 1993. Georganne obtained a ROAP (Racing Officials Accreditation Program) degree with a field of study in Thoroughbred Racing Stewardship.
