The Role

The Distribution Manager at MaryRuth’s will join the Supply Chain team to manage finished goods inventory at our 3PL partners and assist in overall 3PL management. This individual will work closely with internal and external partners and build collaborative networks in order to find and develop cost-effective and quality solutions. This role is a full-time (40 hr/wk), exempt, hybrid position with a compensation range of $75,000-$90,000 USD/year. Ideally, candidates would reside in the Dallas, TX area. 

Responsibilities

  • Track and report information and ensure optimization of inventory levels across the distribution network to reduce excess inventory.

  • Maintain high services levels across all channels (DTC, Retail, Ecomm).

  • Address and proactively prevent inventory ‘out of stocks’ between warehouses through frequent interaction with supply chain partners.

  • Ensure high service levels across the various 3PL partners; regularly measure their efficiency and accuracy.

  • Support inventory accuracy, counting, and reconciliation processes.

  • Develop and improve excess and obsolescence processes, including making recommendations to prevent obsolete inventory.

  • Ensure execution of value-added services (VAS) projects across the 3PL network.

  • Some travel (25-50%) may be required, with advance notice provided to the employee.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years in a similar logistics, distribution, or 3PL management role preferred.

  • 3PL management experience required.

  • Inventory optimization experience strongly preferred.

  • Advanced level of Excel and MS Office capabilities required.

  • Demonstrated project management experience preferred.

  • Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external parties.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • This role involves sitting most of the time, but may also involve moving for brief periods of time.
