Safety Specialist:
Join MAS Building & Bridge as a Safety Specialist! Play a vital role in construction safety for our valued team members. This position offers a dynamic blend of office and field tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience in safety for Heavy Civil, Structural Steel, and Marine Construction projects. In this position you will support our field crews, and the company as a whole, providing guidance, on-site technical expertise, and training, to keep our operations safe and in compliance with regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
professionally represent MAS to client and government regulatory agency personnel
travel to construction sites across MA & RI
conduct daily field observations of construction work and document observations
train and coach field employees on safe work practices
provide safety related input at morning safety meetings
compile daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports
generate safety topics based on field observations and perceived knowledge gaps
assist site management in completion of incident investigations and required paperwork
deliver safety related training to groups ranging from 1 person to 140 people
develop effective working relationships
