George Durante

TDI Deputy Director Fellows Program at MassDevelopment

George joined MassDevelopment in 2016 and serves as the TDI Senior Regional Fellow in the Community Development division. George's role is to provide a wide range of support and strategic advisory services to local community stakeholders who are working to enhance their respective downtown neighborhoods, particularly in the Transformative Development Initiative (TDI) districts of Attleboro and Barnstable. Prior to joining MassDevelopment as the Brockton TDI Fellow, George acquired relevant experience by developing programs for small businesses in the mayor's office for the City of Nashua, New Hampshire, engaging in place-based economic development with a start-up social enterprise called Sustainability Guild, and administering state-level programs as a project manager in the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development. George has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Regional Planning from Westfield State University and a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Policy from Northeastern University.
