Carlos J. Morales

Carlos J. Morales currently serves as the Head of Asset Allocation at MassMutual, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this role, Carlos was the Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Solutions at New York Life Insurance Company from May 2022 to May 2024. Carlos has extensive experience in asset allocation and strategy from previous roles including Director of Strategy and Asset Allocation at Liberty Mutual Insurance, and various quantitative positions at Sentinel Investments, GMO, Wellington Management, and State Street. An academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Carlos holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Boston University, along with a BA and MA in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Houston.
