Amin Afzal

Amin Afzal is an accomplished data science professional currently serving as Vice President and previously as Director of Data Science at Mastercard since February 2019. Prior to this role, Amin was a Senior Research Data Scientist at Monsanto Company from 2017 to January 2019. Amin's academic career includes significant contributions as a Research Assistant at Pennsylvania State University from 2012 to 2017, where responsibilities included developing a leaf sensor and assisting in GIS courses. Earlier experience includes roles as a Researcher at the Isfahan Center for Research of Agricultural Science and Natural Resources, focusing on agricultural technologies, and as a Student Researcher at Isfahan University of Technology. Amin holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture, Agronomy from Penn State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology.
