Todd James

Todd James has a extensive work experience in the field of post-production. Todd is currently serving as the Director of Post Production at MasterClass, where they oversee the scheduling and management of multiple longform classes, short-form content, and trailers. Todd is also responsible for managing budgets and staffing needs and serves as the communication link between the post-production teams and the executive staff.

Prior to their current role, Todd worked at Netflix as a Manager - Post Production. During their tenure, they managed all post activities for the launch of four new shows and 10 other running programs. Todd was responsible for overseeing budgets, establishing scope and timelines, identifying vendors, and ensuring timely completion of work. Todd also collaborated with various internal teams to execute global day and date series available in nearly 200 countries.

Before Netflix, Todd held positions at Sesame Workshop. Todd initially served as a Control Room PA, overseeing activities in the control room for numerous shows and performing tasks such as executing producer notes and creating show rundown reports. Later on, they served as an Associate Producer, where they created show rundowns and managed post-budgets.

Within Sesame Workshop, Todd also served in progressively more senior roles in post-production. Todd was the Supervisor of Post-Production, where they led the transition from tape to digital and supervised the editing of various episodes and materials. Todd then became the Director of Post-Production, where they built and managed the first-ever in-house post-production team, resulting in substantial annual savings for the company. Todd also oversaw a construction project to create new editing and color correction rooms. Finally, they were promoted to Senior Director of Post-Production, where they managed the post-production team for Apple TV+'s first 4K series, Helpsters, and collaborated with Apple TV+'s Creative and Production teams to ensure on-time delivery of expected formats.

Todd James attended Georgia State University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television. Before that, they completed their high school education at Roswell High School.
