Matthew Elder has extensive work experience in quality assurance and performance engineering. Matthew started their career at MasterControl in 2006, where they held multiple roles including Senior Performance Engineer, SQA Team Lead, and Software Quality Assurance Engineer III. During their time at MasterControl, Matthew excelled in functional and regression testing, as well as performance scalability engineering. Matthew was responsible for creating performance test cases, executing tests, and compiling performance reports. Matthew also had experience with various tools and technologies such as MS SQL, Quick Test Pro, Gatling Performance Tool, Java, JS, jQuery, Powershell, Groovy, Scala, Ruby, AWS, VM Ware, Git, Jenkins, BitBucket, VersionOne, Java Mission Control, jConsole, and fastThread. In 2018, they joined Bottle Rocket as a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer.

Matthew Elder earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Religion/Religious Studies from Liberty University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, in 1998 and 1999, they attended Word of Life for Bible studies. In 2015, Matthew obtained a certification in JavaScript Road Trip Part 3 from Code School.
