Matthew Henry

Matthew Henry has a diverse range of work experience. Matthew started their career in 2013 as an Oil Rig Hand at Ensign Energy Services, where they worked on multiple oil wells in Alberta and British Columbia. Matthew'sresponsibilities included maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, as well as servicing engines and pump systems on the rig. After four years, they transitioned to North Shore Environmental Consultants Inc. in 2021, taking on the role of Emissions Specialist. In this position, they worked for a year, specializing in emissions management. Currently, Matthew holds the position of Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions Inc., where they have been working since 2022.

Matthew Henry attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2019 to 2021, where they pursued a degree in Environmental Technologies with a focus on Environmental Studies. In addition to their degree, Matthew obtained several certifications during this time. In May 2019, they completed the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) course offered by the Alberta Construction Safety Association. In March 2020, Matthew received training in handling, offering for transport, and transporting dangerous goods from SAIT. Later, in July 2020, they completed Ducks Unlimited's Wetlands 101 course, which provided an introduction to boreal wetlands.
