Matthew Eley

Matthew Eley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matthew started their career as a Student Assistant at the University of Richmond's Office of Public Relations from 2011 to 2012. Matthew then moved on to Kenyon College, where they held multiple roles such as Student Assistant in the Office of the President from 2013 to 2014, and Opinions Editor for The Kenyon Collegian from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Matthew joined The/Studio as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, where they worked until 2017. Matthew returned to The/Studio in 2019, this time as the Head of Internal Operations, overseeing internal infrastructure and utilizing marketing skills to lead diverse teams. During this time, they also worked as the Editor-in-Chief for The East By West, a publication where they edited weekly issues and managed backend logistics.

In 2016, Matthew started their own sole proprietorship called Absinthe, where they provided freelancing services such as hiring, fundraising procedures, advertisement development, and web content creation. Matthew managed various tasks, including operating web backends, overseeing ads, and managing communications.

Most recently, Matthew joined Mayfair in 2021 as the Chief of Staff. In this role, they aided in building the early engineering and sales teams for the company, which focuses on helping individuals earn yield on their idle cash. Mayfair is backed by prominent investors such as Tiger Global Management, Box Group, and Amity Ventures.

Matthew Eley attended Kenyon College from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters with a focus on the Integrated Program of Humane Studies. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, they studied at the University of Richmond. Matthew'sstudies at the University of Richmond were primarily focused on Leadership studies, Politics, Philosophy, Economics and Law, with a concentration in economics.
