Michael Kent

Michael Kent has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Michael is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at MD Clarity since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Epsillo from January 2017 onwards. In this role, they served as an independent software engineering consultant in various industries including banking, trucking, agriculture, SAAS, and financial. Michael also led a data ingestion project for a mortgage lender to integrate systems and enable data-driven decision-making.

From April 2018 to May 2022, Michael held the position of Vice President of Technology and Development at CarrierNet Inc. In this role, they led development and technology teams responsible for building internal software and customer-facing solutions.

Before joining CarrierNet, Michael worked as a Software Developer at TrackAbout, Inc. from July 2015 to February 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Software Engineer at SDN Communications from May 2013 to June 2015, where they worked on product lifecycle tasks using the .NET Framework and C#, integrating various technologies.

Michael'searlier experiences include working as a Technology Fellowship at Dakota State University from August 2011 to May 2013, where they created a highly available program using Java and C# to interact with biometric devices for tracking study time. Michael also served as a Resident Assistant during the same period, managing a building and overseeing residents' well-being. Additionally, they worked as a Student Researcher at the university from February 2011 to May 2013.

Michael's work experience also includes an internship as an Application Development Intern at SDN Communications from May 2012 to August 2012.

Michael Kent obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Dakota State University in 2013. Michael also earned another Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics for Information Systems from the same university in the same year. In 2011, Michael obtained a certification as an EMT Basic from NREMT. Michael went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Western Governors University, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
