MedAdvisor Solutions global mission is to empower the pharmacy of the future to help people manage their healthcare, one prescription at a time. The software provides support in tracking medications with digital-first pharmacy tools and educational content that improves health literacy and medication adherence. Our current head office is based in Camberwell, however, please note we are relocating to Melbourne CBD later in 2024.

The role:  

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice and ensuring the organisations’ compliance with all relevant legislative requirements. You will help to ensure MedAdvisor’s commercial objectives are in line with its legal requirements and obligations and provide legal support to commercial decisions across the business. 

It’s an exciting time to join and assist the business through its next phase of growth, working closely with the Head of Legal & Governance and the senior leadership team. 

This is a full-time hybrid position with a view of minimum 2 days per week in our office.  

Your day-to-day duties as Legal Counsel: 

• Maintaining compliance and regulatory practices across all business units

• Assisting to develop and maintain internal policies and procedures

• Assisting in contract negotiations, tenders and licensing and maintenance agreements

• Assisting in any litigation including representation at mediation/dispute resolution hearings

About you:  

• A legal practitioner with 2-5 PQE with experience working in commercial law and exceptional business acumen

• Currently holds a practicing certificate as an Australian Legal Practitioner (can be under supervision)

• A ‘hands on’ and pragmatic legal practitioner who can work independently with little supervision

• Energetic and flexible, and accustomed to working in a fast-paced, growth environment with a proven capacity to self-motivate when encountering ambiguity

• A solution focused individual with experience in problem-solving focused on achieving not only a legal outcome but a positive commercial outcome
