Chris Becker

Chris Becker has worked in a variety of roles in the finance, data science, and analytics fields since 2015. In 2015, they began as a Research Analyst at ScottMadden, Inc., where they studied the energy industry and developed data-driven insights. In 2018, they joined Fifth Third Bank as a Senior Data Scientist, AVP, where they worked as lead architect and developer on a cross-functional team to build an enterprise-first retail recommendation system. In 2020, they moved to Humana as a Lead Data Scientist, where they architected and led the development of a prescriptive resource allocation capability. Currently, they are the Director of Strategy and Operational Finance and Director of Data Science at MedArrive, where they are responsible for building a lakehouse with streaming data, establishing an operational reporting function, introducing operations research, and designing and building an intelligence layer.

Chris Becker obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and Philosophy from North Carolina State University between 2011 and 2015. Chris then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.S.) in Analytics from the Institute for Advanced Analytics in 2017-2018. In 2018, they obtained the Data Scientist with Python certification from DataCamp, and in 2020, they obtained the Deep Learning certification from deeplearning.ai.
