Melissa Donegan

Melissa Donegan's work experience begins with their current position as a Software Engineer at Mediafly, a revenue enablement company. In this role, they contribute to the development of an integrated platform that helps sellers lead, managers coach, leaders forecast, and buyers interact. Melissa started at Mediafly in May 2021.

Prior to their current role, Melissa worked as a Web Developer + Marketing Manager at Bodynova North America. Melissa collaborated with the owner to design and build webpages, enhancing e-commerce sales and brand aesthetic. Additionally, they constructed web shops for affiliate clients to strengthen relationships and increase brand exposure within the wellness industry. Melissa held this position from April 2020 to May 2021.

Before Bodynova, Melissa served as the Chief Creative Officer at nobinary, a company specializing in designing and developing websites for entrepreneurs. Melissa contributed to creating cutting-edge websites, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on growing their businesses. Melissa held this role from January 2020 to May 2021.

Prior to their experience in web development and design, Melissa participated in a Software Engineer Immersive program at General Assembly. Melissa was the valedictorian of the program and gained over 400 hours of professional training in software engineering. During the program, they designed and built web applications with full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functionality. Their notable project was Piel Skincare, an e-commerce site built using HTML, CSS/Flexbox, and JavaScript. Melissa completed the program from October 2019 to January 2020.

To start their career, Melissa worked as a Floor Manager at Aritzia from April 2016 to May 2019. Their responsibilities included leading their team to achieve sales goals, focusing on client roster health and store operations. Melissa also implemented training programs to drive continuous improvement and monitored sales numbers to ensure corporate and business objectives were met.

Melissa Donegan holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation from Hunter College. Melissa completed their first bachelor's degree program between 2015 and 2018. Afterward, Melissa attended General Assembly in 2019 and 2020, where they were recognized as the Valedictorian of the Software Engineering Immersive (SEI) Program. Melissa received a Certification of Completion for this course.
