Amir Kraitzer

Amir Kraitzer has a diverse work experience in various fields. Amir is the Founder and CTO of Medibrane Ltd., where they design and develops surgical covers, implantable device coatings, and bio-absorbable implants for minimally invasive surgical procedures. As the company's CTO, they also develop material-based manufacturing solutions for the medical device industry.

Amir is also the Founder and CTO of EarWays Medical Ltd., which offers innovative ear care products for healthcare professionals and home use. These products are designed to simplify cerumen extraction and manage earwax accumulation.

Amir Kraitzer has also worked as an Independent Biomaterials Consultant, where they assisted companies in defining challenges and provided expertise in mechanical engineering, material science, and engineering. Amir was involved in various projects related to concept design, material selection, product simulations, materials testing, and manufacturing process design.

In their earlier career, Amir co-founded Augma Biomaterials and served as the CEO, CTO, and Co-founder. The company developed and marketed bone void fillers for the dental industry.

Amir also conducted research during their PhD at Tel Aviv University, focusing on drug-eluting biodegradable stents and drug-eluting devices for cancer treatment. Their research encompassed material characterization, polymer processing, and the development of multifunctional medical devices.

Prior to that, they worked as an Applications Engineer at Proficiency and as an Engineer at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries.

Amir Kraitzer's education history begins in 1997 when they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering at Tel Aviv University, completing their degree in 2000. Amir then continued their studies at the same institution, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Materials Science and Engineering from 2003 to 2006.

In parallel with their master's degree, Amir also embarked on a Ph.D. program in Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University in 2003. This endeavor extended until 2009, indicating that they dedicated a significant portion of their time and efforts towards this field.

Apart from their pursuits in engineering, Amir also pursued higher education in business administration. Amir attended Tel Aviv University from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
