Carolyn Viall Donohue

Carolyn Viall Donohue has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Carolyn most recently worked as the Executive Director of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina since August 2022. Prior to that, Carolyn served as the Executive Director of Nursing for Children's & Women's Services at the same institution from May 2018 to August 2022.

Before their time at the Medical University of South Carolina, Carolyn held the role of CNO and VP of Nursing at Roper St. Francis Healthcare from September 2013 to May 2018. Carolyn also served as the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at the University of North Carolina Health Care System from September 2012 to September 2013.

Carolyn's earlier roles include being an Associate CNO at UNC Health Care from August 2008 to January 2013 and serving as the Director of Women's and Children's Services at the University of North Carolina Health Care System from April 2000 to August 2008.

Their career started as a Nurse Manager at MUSC in 1995, where they worked until 2000. Overall, Carolyn has a strong background in nursing leadership and has held various positions throughout their career.

Carolyn Viall Donohue earned a BSN in Nursing from Cleveland State University from 1978 to 1981. Carolyn then pursued a Masters in Nursing with a focus on Community Health Nursing at Case Western Reserve University from 1983 to 1986.
