Yitbarek Birhanu

Yitbarek Birhanu is a seasoned logistics and engineering professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and technical management. Currently serving as Senior Area Logistics Manager at Medici con l'Africa Cuamm since September 2021, Yitbarek previously worked as a Logistics Supervisor with Médecins Sans Frontières, focusing on service improvements for internally displaced persons in the Guji zone. Prior roles include General Manager at Itang Town Water Utility, overseeing a significant water supply project for refugees and host communities with UNICEF support, and Logistics Specialist for Médecins Sans Frontières, managing various logistics functions. With experience as an Energy Engineer at Huawei Technologies Ethiopia, Yitbarek contributed to a major infrastructure expansion project, and as Technical Manager at Dugda Floriculture Development, managed technical activities in rose production. Yitbarek holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Defense University.
