James Dey

James Dey has extensive experience in the finance industry, with a focus on debt origination and client coverage. James is currently the Managing Director and Head of Debt Origination and Client Coverage for the UK and US at Mediobanca. Prior to this, they served as an Executive Director at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking, where they managed a diverse portfolio of companies in the business services, real estate, house-builders, and construction sectors. Before joining Santander, James held various roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland, including Director of Large Corporate Banking and Director of Global Banking and Markets, where they specialized in asset and project finance transactions. James started their career at Grant Thornton UK LLP, where they worked as a Corporate Finance Manager in the transaction services and project finance teams, as well as an Audit Associate.

James Dey received a degree in FCA from ICAEW between 1999 and 2001. James also attended the Association of Accounting Technicians from 1997 to 1998. Additionally, they completed their high school education at Dame Alice Owens from 1988 to 1996.
