Fernanda Shoyama

Fernanda Shoyama is a highly experienced Senior Scientist at Medtronic since October 2021, with a strong background in molecular biology and microbiology. Previous roles include Study Director at WuXi AppTec and PhD Student at Michigan State University, where research focused on iron homeostasis in Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Minnesota, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Teaching Licensure from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia.
