Catherine Hempenstall

Catherine Hempenstall is currently the Director of Philanthropy and External Affairs at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Catherine has previously worked as a Programs Officer at Creative Partnerships Australia, a Project Coordinator at Tennis Australia, a Project Officer at Lumos, and an Administrator for the Capability Brown Festival. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Manager in the Project Management Office at Adidas Group, and an Economic Development Officer and Festivals and Events Officer for the City of Stonnington. Catherine began their career in events as a Tapis Rouge attendant for Cirque du Soleil.

Catherine Hempenstall holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, where they studied Ethnomusicology and Catherine'story. Catherine also holds German Intensive levels 1 and 2 from the Lyceum Language School, and a 20 Hour Practical TEFL Course from i-to-i Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Their manager is Sophie Galaise, Managing Director. Catherine Hempenstall works with Kezia Yap - Digital Content Administrator, Fiona Mcdonald - Head of People and Culture, and Guy Ross - Chief Operating Officer.
