Guillermo Pantoja Cascado has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Guillermo is currently serving as the Area Managing Director for Meliá Hotels International in Mexico. Prior to this role, they held various positions within the same company, including being the General Manager at Meliá Hanoi, where they successfully hosted high-profile heads of state delegations and organized important events. Guillermo also served as the Task Force General Manager for the pre-opening of Meliá Yangon and Meliá Jinan, where they were responsible for setting up company standards and providing operational assistance for new hotels. Guillermo was also the Director of Pre-openings and Responsible for F&B in the Shanghai area at Gran Meliá Shanghai. Before joining Meliá Hotels International, Guillermo worked as the Managing Director for RISCO DEL GATO PLAYA SL and held managerial positions at Meliá Hotels International Cuba, Hotel Santa Catalina, Beatriz Hoteles, RIU Hotels & Resorts, Baur au Lac, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, and Maxims Club Casino.
Guillermo Pantoja Cascado holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, obtained between 2018 and 2020. Guillermo also has a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, completed in 1997, and a Diploma in Hotel Management from Hotel Institute Montreux, earned from 1993 to 1995. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various fields, including Strategic Management, Real Estate, Development and Hotel Investment, and Hotel Operations from Cornell University. Guillermo has also completed the General Managers Program from Cornell University in 2009. In 2019, they earned the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from the AHLEI - American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
