Sara Nelson

Sara Nelson has extensive experience in law enforcement and emergency medical services. Since August 2005, Sara has served as a Police Sergeant for the City of Casper, including a role as School Resource Officer Sergeant and previously as a Detective focusing on Crimes Against Children from 2013 to 2018. Concurrently, Sara has worked as a Paramedic-PRN at Memorial Hospital of Converse County since 2012, and held various paramedic positions, including Flight Paramedic at Wyoming Medical Center from 1998 to 2012. Earlier roles include Supervisor of Wright EMS and Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT with the WI DNR/US Forestry Service. Educational qualifications include a Technical Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology from Northwood Technical College and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fire Technology and Administration from Lake Superior College, along with completion of the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in 2005.
