Wendy Broughton

Chief Operating Officer at Mental Health Systems

The Chief Operating Officer for Mental Health Systems, Wendy Broughton has over 25 years of experience in the administration and management of integrated behavioral health programs. Ms. Broughton is responsible for the delivery of innovative, cost-effective clinical services for individuals and families living with behavioral health challenges.

Ms. Broughton joined MHS in 1998 and oversees over 125 annual contracts in Alcohol and other Drug, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Corrections and Rehabilitation, and Housing in Southern and Central California. Involved at State, Federal, and County levels throughout her tenure, Ms. Broughton has served on numerous committees and initiatives i.e. member California Association of Alcohol and Drug Professional Executives (CAADPE), past chair CAADPE Criminal Justice Committee, board member for Community Health Improvement Partners (CHIP), past chair Executive Partners Committee, in 2013 she was appointed to the Judicial Council’s Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee and most recently joined California Association of Collaborative Courts Board of Directors.

Ms. Broughton received her B.A. in Psychology and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology. She is also a Certified Master Life Coach and maintains certification as a Registered Addictions Specialist.
