Katie Ibay

Katie Ibay has a diverse range of experience in the field of Human Resources. Katie most recently served as the Chief People Officer at Meow Wolf starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Google as the Market HR Lead for Southern California from 2020 to 2022.

Before their time at Google, Ibay held the position of Head of HR at Fandango from 2018 to 2020, where they led the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Facilities departments. During their tenure, they were also responsible for the acquisition and integration of the Vudu streaming platform.

From 2015 to 2018, Ibay worked at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Universal Brand Development as the Vice President of Human Resources. Katie played a key role in the launch of the Brand Development division, overseeing various teams and leading integration efforts following the acquisition of DreamWorks Animation.

Prior to their role at NBCUniversal, Ibay worked as a Consultant in Human Resources and Organization Development at Ibay HR in 2015. Katie also gained valuable experience at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where they served as the Vice President of People & Organization for Sony Pictures Television from 2013 to 2015 and as the Executive Director of People & Organization for the Global Home Entertainment business from 2010 to 2013.

Ibay's career in HR started at Activision, where they held the position of HR Director from 2008 to 2010. Katie was responsible for HR business partnering for various studios and participated in the company's Leadership Development Program.

Katie began their career at Nestle Waters in 2003, working as the Area HR Manager and later as the National HR Manager. During their time at Nestle Waters, they focused on strategic staffing initiatives and operational improvements to support companywide growth.

Prior to their career in HR, Ibay worked as an Event Fundraiser at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles and as an Employee Relations Director at SeeBeyond Technology.

Katie Ibay attended Cornell University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Labor and Industrial Relations.
