Courtney has always had a passion for technology and its potential to change the world. Courtney started their career in tech as a Closed Caption Editor for the NFL, where they were responsible for editing closed captions for coaches and player press conferences, public relations events, locker room interviews, and charitable events. From there, they went on to work as a Project Manager for Graham Shiels Studios, where they were responsible for researching and reviewing scripts databases to prepare student materials for classes, managing financials, generating new business, and conducting live interviews.

Courtney's experience in the tech industry has given their a unique perspective on how to use technology to create positive change. As a Junior Software Engineer at Mercado Labs, they are excited to be working on projects that have the potential to make a real difference in people's lives.

After completing a certificate in computer software engineering from Thinkful, Courtney Shane pursued a career in cinema production, studying film/cinema/TV/video studies at Los Angeles City College. Courtney then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in theatre arts from San Francisco State University. Finally, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences in dance and mathematics from Santa Monica College.

Courtney Shane reports to Peace Chen, Engineering Manager. They are on a team with Brad Hall - Software Engineer, Dj Cunningham - Senior Software Engineer, and Eric Maryea - Software Engineer.
