Michael Karlsson

Michael Karlsson has extensive work experience in the field of IT, with a focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Michael has held various roles at Merck Group, including Head of IT Electronics Systems and IT Head and Business Partner for Neurology and Immunology & Digital Health. Michael has also served as a Program Manager for global product launch readiness and as a Global IT Delivery Manager. Prior to their time at Merck Group, Karlsson worked at Mbite as the Owner, Director, and Project Manager and at Synercom as a Director and Project Manager. Michael also gained experience as a Consultant ERP Specialist at Merck Serono and as the Head of IT CERN Pension Fund and Systems Analyst at CERN. Throughout their career, Karlsson has focused on digital marketing and strategy, global launch preparations, and IT program management.

Michael Karlsson has an extensive education history. Michael obtained their EMBA degree from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Science degree in Informatics at the University of Gothenburg from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, Michael attended the International School of Geneva from 1986 to 1992 and obtained an International Baccalaureate degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Michael Karlsson has completed the "Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100" and "Introduction to the National Incident Management System, IS-00700.b" courses at FEMA, both in February 2021. Michael also completed the "Global Leadership Program" at the Merck Group in April 2020.
