Mario Burton, PhD, SHRM-SCP, GPHR is the Vice President of Global People Operations at Mercy For Animals. Mario Burton, has a strong background in Human Resources and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work, with experience as the Founder and CEO of The SEMANCO Team. Mario has also served in various capacities in organizations such as GLBT Advocacy & Youth Services, LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and Urban Peak. Mario holds a PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University, a Master's degree in Leadership and Organizations from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
