Matthew Schappert

Matthew Schappert has a diverse work experience in accounting and taxation. Matthew started their career as an Accountant at MacGillivray Partners in 2009 and worked there until 2011. Matthew then joined Grant Thornton LLP where they served as a Senior Accountant from 2012 to 2014, and later as a Tax Manager from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, Matthew joined Meridian Credit Union as a Senior Taxation and Accounting Analyst, and held this role until 2021. Matthew then transitioned to the role of Senior Manager, Taxation and Accounting at Meridian OneCap Credit Corp., and worked there until 2022. Currently, Matthew is working at Meridian Credit Union as the Director of Accounting Policy and Taxation.

Matthew Schappert attended Brock University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree.
