Mechanical Engineer at Meridian Energy

Hannah Joslin has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering field. Hannah started their career in 2005 with a work experience placement at Peavey Electronics, where they gained knowledge in Linux systems and computer assembly. In 2011, they completed a summer placement as a Process & Technical Engineer at Alumasc Precision Ltd, focusing on metal flow analysis and die design.

In 2012, Hannah joined David Brown Gear Systems Limited as a Mechanical Engineer, specializing in gearbox design and project management. Hannah'sresponsibilities included creating proposals, supporting various departments, and managing engineering inspections.

From 2014 to 2016, Hannah worked as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Tidal Lagoon Power. Hannah contributed to the development of the Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay project and was involved in tasks such as tender comparison, value engineering, and turbine model testing.

Currently, Hannah is a Mechanical Engineer at Meridian Energy, where they are a part of the Tactical Engineering Team. Hannah supports hydro power stations on the Waitaki scheme and Manapouri.

Throughout their career, Hannah has gained experience in various engineering disciplines, such as renewable energy, power transmission systems, and die design. Hannah is proficient in using programs such as SolidEdge, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.

Hannah Joslin's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Brooke Weston Academy. Hannah completed their A Levels in Physics, Maths, Economics, and Music Technology from 2006 to 2008. Following this, Hannah attended Newcastle University from 2008 to 2011, where they pursued a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with Honours in Design. Hannah'sstudies continued at Newcastle University from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained an MSc degree in Renewable Energy (Reflex).
